Andrea Riviere NSW/ACT Village Manager Of Year 2009
The Retirement Villages Association (RVA) is proud to announce Andrea Riviere of Blue Hills Village and Durham Green as the 2009 winner of the Tony Baldwin NSW/ACT Manager of the Year Award.
RVA Regional Manager for NSW/ACT, Mark
Eagleston, acknowledged the strength of the field as a
testimony to the ability of retirement villages to rise above the financial
constraints of the past year and come out on top.
“This year there was an exceptional field of candidates, many demonstrating the qualities we look for in the winner, however Andrea was outstanding and her work ethics and longevity in the business are a clear indication of why she was recognised.
“The Tony Baldwin Manager of the Year Award acknowledges the continual achievements of RVA Village Managers who deliver excellence in service and outstanding commitment to residents while upholding ethical practices and behaviour.
“The award is a memorial to Tony Baldwin, a true pioneer in the retirement village industry and co-founder of the RVA, whose significant achievements, contributions and efforts will be remembered each year by this award,” Mr Eagleston said.
The winner, Andrea Riviere, Manager of two villages Blue Hills Village at Prestons and Durham Green at Menangle, was excited and humbled by the award.
“I am delighted to receive this reward, it is a testament to the hard work of the Blue Hills and Durham Green teams and our dedication to constantly improve the services we offer to residents and maintain the highest standards of care.
“There is a nice synergy in receiving the award this year as 2009 marks my first decade with Blue Hills. I’ve been here since day one, back then though it was just a patch of vacant land,” Ms Riviere said.
Directors of Blue Hills Village and Durham Green Village , Maurice Tulich and Curtis Mann, point to the communication, care and respect Andrea gives in her job each day.
“We wish to congratulate Andrea for her dedication this entire year, it is a fitting acknowledgement given her priority to improve the welfare of residents as well as providing a continuous approach to improving the quality of the services offered by the Village,” Mr Tulich said.
The RVA is Australia’s peak body for the retirement village industry with more than 600 village and associations members nationally.
